NOMA Louisiana is engaged in a process of researching, convening and recording histories of our chapter. The first of our events in this process honored the legacy of Mr. Lonnie Hewitt, a longtime leader and advocate in the New Orleans, Louisiana, and national minority architectural communities.
Moderator Rashidah Williams facilitated a panel featuring Mr. James Washington, NOMAC, Mr. Hewitt's partner at Hewitt-Washington Associates Architects; Mr. Ray Manning, FAIA, principal of Manning Architects; and Mr. Jasmond Anderson, principal of JASZ Studio. This event was hosted via Zoom on Thursday, April 8th, 2021 from 5:30-7 PM, on Chitimacha, Choctaw, and Houma land, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
This event was co-hosted by NOMA Louisiana and the AIA New Orleans Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee.
